I live in Summerville, South Carolina, situated twenty-something miles from Charleston. Established in 1847, Summerville has been called a respite for respiratory illness, and the birthplace of Sweet Tea. It's a place that attracts visitors and transplants alike. OUR TOWN will be on view at Public Works Art Center in Summerville.

My artwork highlights the friction of preservation versus development. Structures erected before WWII were created with care and built better than they had to be, yet today the Lowcountry tree canopy and wetlands pay the price for mass production of homes, and infrastructure lags behind. It's an issue that people are talking about.
